Inspired by a friend who received amazing hospital care for her seriously ill children, I often reflected and wondered how another family may feel in less fortunate circumstances financially, physically or emotionally. I thought, how incredibly lucky are we? Living in the lucky Country, yet over 10% of our current population are living below the poverty line, where over a quarter of them are children.
We were driven to take matters into our own hands, to help close this gap in Australia and provide every child and their family the basic rights to healthcare, education and human necessities.
The ability to help shape change and provide assistance and support to those who need it most.
I thought our business concept was genius, and that everyone would support us but boy was I wrong.
We experienced a lot of doors closing, received a lot of rejections and heard many excuses.
This allowed us to refine our pitch, improved our strategies and became resilient to objections.
We may need to work a little harder but it made us smarter at the same time.
Nothing motivates me more than thinking of the impact we’ve made and the potential impact we can make if we reached our goals.
Our 3 key business strategies are:
1. 0% wastage
2. zero-minimal marketing investment
3. Partner with like minded Charities
Make as many mistakes as you can through others, if you have to experience them personally; make sure it’s only once.
