What was the catalyst for you launching your business?

I have a 2 year old daughter named Cruze so wanted to create more of a work life balance for myself. I also wanted to do something that I love doing and I am very passionate about. I also love the idea of making women feel great and more powerful.

What do you love most about what you do now?

Working for myself, learning, becoming better, more confident, self discovery, independence, interaction with like minded women and also the fact I get to contribute to empowering women and making them feel more amazing then they already are.

Describe the biggest setback you faced when establishing your business? How did it affect you and how did you push through?

Only working 3 days has been challenging in launching my business as we all know that launching a business takes up a lot of time. The challenging thing is realising when to let go of not achieving perfection but also just finding that extra time wherever possible, focusing and pushing through the thick and thin, tiredness as well as keeping the importance of work/life and family in tact.

I work very hard and take on working late nights when my baby is asleep, but the end journey of seeing the outcome of a great shoot showing off a portrait of a woman and seeing their superpowers shine is very empowering. I love it!

I am a quick learner and have become an excellent problem solver over night. I also have learnt that pushing through the challenging situations give you more gratification when you realise you can achieve it all and learn something new at the same time.

Everyone has days where they feel flat or uninspired - do you have any tricks or tactics for overcoming these feelings?

Yes, I make lists….If I feel overwhelmed, flat or uninspired I start with a list.
To do / Things to look at / blogs to visit / magazines to read / and don’t forget the me time. I list everything wether its scheduled time to learn something new or business accounting to attend to. Lists help to prioritise and help me get things done not to mention re-centre myself for a new day. You can only do so much and sometimes I might have that topic on the list for a month, sometimes just an hour but I always get to it and learn what to do first and last.

What has been your most effective marketing tactic or strategy?

Facebook! I am currently learning things and becoming a better ads manager. I am also hoping to interact with more like minded women in business for support, guidance and new life experiences.

What is the most courageous thing you've done in business?

Invest everything I have and leave my job at the same time to transition into running my own business.

Words of Wisdom / Personal Quote

Accept the things you cannot change, take the courage to change the things you can but have the wisdom to know the difference . Don’t be scared of trying new things, throwing yourself in the deep end and setting your goals high. 😉
